Their soups are all really good, especially the cream soups. The coffee is excellent, and the private courtyard is a great place to spend an hour or two chatting with friends. The best part is the very friendly service. There are lots of places in PV with good service, but the people at Aroma really make you feel welcome so it is always a great experience.
Lovely space, serene courtyard and wonderfully fresh food, coffee & smoothies. Splendid pastries, as well!
Have just dropped in as it has great reviews. Ordered coffee and french toast and sat in the quiet little courtyard. Coffee arrived quickly - a little bitter for my personal taste but nice and hot. 20 minutes or more later and no sign of the toast so I went to enquire if it was coming. All I got was a "No" and then "Do you still want it?" from the sole guy serving - No explanation, no apology. With that kind of service I decided I'd take my custom elsewhere. Couldn't even blame the error on the cafe being busy - I was the only customer there! Raise your game, Aroma!
We couldn't stand waiting in another long line to get into Freddy Toucan so we headed a couple blocks over and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe tucked into a garden courtyard of diverse shops. Friendly service, readily available courtyard seating, excellent coffees and smoothies, homemade pastries, and a good assortment of breakfast/lunch options with carefully selected ingredients. Loved the Tummy Tamer smoothie: papaya, blueberries, pineapple, ginger, yogurt, coconut water.
This is one of those favorite places that we stop for breakfast, but keep forgetting to review! Lame, right? All right, it can be difficult to find a great cup of coffee in Puerto Vallarta, most of it is watered down to the extent where it seems like weak tea. This is not the case at Aroma, the coffee is superb! Breakfast combinations are nicely balanced with eggs prepared to your liking, potatoes, beans, and a nice little side salad with toast. There are lots of fresh pastries available. Sometimes there is fresh ginger ale, it is wonderfully flavored, not too sweet, not too sour, and great with a twist of lemon! I highly recommend it. There's a nice patio with a little bit of shade, we like to sit out there with the dogs and enjoy breakfast mid-way through our morning walk.
