Curry Leaf Restaurant - Puducherry

It is a very simple street-side dining. the place is very decent and eating is appropriate. fish curry and rice ordered. it was really good. the fish frit was just as good. will definitely go back when in pondicherry.

This is a no frills place very close to the quiet beach and the staff is super friendly, ready to serve them. they have fresh seafood and decent affordable breakfast options.

Disappointing place the fish curry and fringes were great, easy on the bag as well. the personal is polite and menu is not nonsense. ideal for budget food, avg $500 for two.

An excellent place to have a satisfying home style meal in Pondicherry !! Its close to serenity beach, on the main road near the bus stop. The owner is a malayali and is very humble enough to serve us food by himself . The prawn briyani I had here is one of the best I have ever had. The flavour of that cardamom and bayleaf still fills my nostrils. Fish fry was excellent. Omlet an prawn fry would remind you of mom's touch. Nothing too spicy or too oily. The non veg thali was equally good and dominatinating over Keralaite aura. Pricing is easy on the wallet for a non veg restaurant. Thing is this place doesn't even feel like a restaurant , it was like u had gone to someone's home for lunch!!! Don't forget to finish the meal with a sweet and distinct bovonto :-)

SImple place, very popular with locals. Basic ambience and for lunch no nonsense - just few dishes. Excellent value for money. Rice portion massive. I ordered thali which was not adapted to foreign tastes and why should it be. It was served within a minute. I managed only two options, the rest were too strong for what I am used to, but the owner noticed this and kept giving me additional servings of these two. Staff is nice and efficient. Local people around me seemed to have enjoyed the food a lot and the place was constantly busy. Worth visiting for a an authentic feel of where the local dishes are eaten by locals.
