By then most of the food was either cold or over. we had inquired the night before about the timings - 7.30am to 10am from the front desk. The spread was decent though - sooji upma, poori bhaji, ildis, sambhar, 3 types of chutney, dosa (order), milk and cornflakes + chocos, boiled eggs, chicken sausages, bread toast (white bread only), cut fruits - watermelon, pineapple, grapes (not the normal ones, but the higher quality small red/ purple cherry grapes) and lassi and watermelon juice. Tea and coffee. the poori and bhaji were over by 9am itself as informed by the guests sitting at the table next to ours, bread was over by 9.30 and they refused to refill it- that was ridiculous! Other than us 2 more families at the tables nearby were surprised that the hotel made no effort to get us bread. The mushroom and cheese omelette we ordered - was made without the mushroom and cheese - but was good. Idli was cold and just 2-3 were left. Watermelon juice took 15 minutes to refill and it had too much of sugar added :( the plain dosa we ordered was cold and soggy (like it had been kept for a long time) The sausages were yummy! My friend liked the upma. the orange chutney was tasty and spicy. But just having 2-3 good items in a huge buffet like this - is unacceptable. Plates, bowls and glasses got over twice on the buffet table and it took them ages and constant reminders to get more. there was just 1 waiter to serve around 10 tables and he was not able to manage and that was obvious. He forgot to get water and green tea for us. I guess green tea was also over! Water was served to us when we were about to leave.

Are you lavishly rich? You don't have any ideas to spend your lavish money? Voila, go to this restaurant! One of the worst ever restaurants I've seen in my life. Totally waste of money and yucky food though. It doesn't worth a penny. Appearance is always deceptive. Yes, I do agree with that. We got tantalized by the appearance of this shitty restaurant. The soups, starters, main course.. Everything.. All are damn ****..
Tiny place with good service. I think only place in Pondicherry where their standard measure for liquor was 60 ml????. Others all were 30 ml. Simple food.
This inhouse eatery within Richmond hotel is quite classy, great feeling and good taste. Food is good and ambience pretty quite and romantic.
