In addition to the normal tables, the restaurant offers two long tables. but if you go in a couple don't let yourself go while the long table is usually for large groups. the lighting of the place and the two floors it has makes it very romantic. The menu wasn't what we liked most. the food was good, yes, but not as noticeable as the environment. In our opinion, the best was the drinks, the questions asked at the local bar, the best was the drink based on rose petals and desserts. try the love between flavors of white and black chocolates, black and white brownie, philphia mousse cheese with almond and red fruits. for the fame of the place is worth making a reservation before going.
Location: The Bellevista area Food: This restaurant serves Mexican food in Chile, which is a nice change because it offers items such as sour cream (which can be hard to find), fajitas, and cheddar cheese. My visits to this restaurant were nine years apart, with the most recent being in Nov 2018. On both occasions, I ordered the mixed fajitas with shrimp, chicken, and steak, and they were delicious! The fajitas come with all the accompaniments and are large enough to share with three people. The cocktails were also unique and tasty. Atmosphere/decor: The atmosphere is casual but eclectic and cozy. One of the tables is even a brass bed, adding to the quirky charm of the place. Service: The service was fine, although in Chile it can be less attentive than what some may be accustomed to in the United States. However, the staff at this restaurant were helpful and kind, making for a pleasant dining experience. Recommendation: I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
We found this on the map while randomly looking for other things and were immediately intrigued. We had read the book and seen the movie how could their food be bad!? We went for lunch on a Saturday and immediately the ambiance was perfect. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. We had the fried shrimp appetizer and the conger fish entree. Flavors were on point. We had the chocolate mousse dessert which was just ok. Outside of that, everything was perfect. Our waitress, Loreto, was amazing! She gave us such great suggestions for the city and was wonderfully kind. I'd absolutely recommend this for great food and great company!
Yes, prices are high in Santiago. This restaurant is more of a destination for Trip Advisor users than for locals. The food was very enjoyable, so I would still recommend having a nice meal here. They accept credit card payments. We tried the ceviche and seafood fajitas, both of which were good but nothing exceptional. The calamari rings were small and tender, the fish was cooked well, but the shrimp were overdone. The meal came with a huge side of melted cheese, guacamole, rice, beans, and tortillas. We particularly enjoyed the sides, especially the buttery salted rice. We were very full after the meal. Be prepared to encounter some interesting street performers trying to earn a dollar, such as an old man playing guitar or a Madonna impersonator with a cone bra.
This restaurant was rated really well on tripadvisor, so we made our way to the barrio bellavista. There are other equally well rated restaurants on the same street. This one, like others, has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The service was professional and courteous. They have one dish where they light up some alcohol on fire right before serving so that it looks flashy and cool. We ordered a filet mignon in red wine reduction and a braised lamb dish with sweet fried rice. The best part of the meal was the fried rice. The steak was overdone and dry especially for the price and so was the lamb. Rather flavourless on both parts. Surprised it had a lot of stellar reviews and that the food was so expensive for the disappointing taste.
