Las Palmas Mexican - Prairieville

We had lunch today and it was delicious! However, the highlight was our server, Kayleigh. She was super nice and the perfect example of how customer service should be. Good service like this is rare these days. Thank you, Kayleigh, for providing us with the best dining experience we've had in a while.

As always, the food at Las Palmas is just as delicious as I remember. The staff is also very friendly. I would recommend Las Palmas to anyone who enjoys Tex-Mex cuisine. The prices are not too high, but the quality is much better than Taco Bell.

I ordered the tuna steak from this restaurant, which I have had before. I decided to take it to-go. Initially, the food had a strange smell. When I started eating it, my mouth started tingling and I became sick. I thought I might be having an allergic reaction, but after examining the issue, it appears that I had histamine food poisoning. This caused a tingling sensation in my mouth and left redness on my face for hours after eating. This is likely due to the food not being stored properly and the histamines in the tuna not being cooked out. I have never had an issue with tuna before. I called the manager to discuss this issue and was only told that the food is good and there is no problem. I wanted to raise awareness about this so that others do not get sick. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Food is tasty and they give you generous portions, but everything is SALTY! But the biggest reason for my poor rating/review is that service is often cold/borderline rude.I picked up takeout recently and the person who checked me out hardly said a word. He ring me up, slapped the receipt on the counter, and disappeared into the back without so much as a grunt. That was just plain rude. I'm not asking for a conversation, but is it that hard to be polite for, oh, 2 whole minutes?!I'm trying to support local businesses, but next time I'll choose a different Mexican restaurant, hopefully one that values my business. Mi Paddres and El Paso are definitely preferred, El Paso in particular as it's very, very good. None of them have great service, though, but this Las Palmas location is the worst for service.

I love coming to this las palmas, it’s actually something me and the in-laws do quite often. We go here for the great salsa, enchiladas, and margaritas.
