Cafe 22 - Praha

Most of the restaurants in the crowded tourist area of Prague are mediocre at best, both in terms of food and service. However, we found a gem tucked away at the base of St. Nikolauskirche in a quieter area. We tried the grilled chicken on spinach risotto, which was enjoyable but could have been improved with more flavorful tomatoes and breadcrumbs. The salmon sandwich was a hit, so much so that we ended up ordering a second one for the kids to have with their pasta. The service was surprisingly good, especially considering the low service standards we encountered elsewhere in Prague. The staff here were attentive and provided decent service.

The American breakfast at this restaurant is excellent, we enjoyed it twice during our visit. The coffee is delicious and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with a beautiful sunny terrace overlooking a corner square and trams passing by, giving it a nice city vibe.

Delicious food! However, they could use more wait staff as one waiter was responsible for everyone. Despite doing a great job, it was a bit overwhelming.
