Food was delicious, waiters were lovely, atmosphere was great and it was brilliant value for money. Lots of tasty vegan options and gorgeous tea! Can’t recommend enough! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-05
I had the tofu bibimbap. I asked if it is vegan. I also got soup and appetizers kimchi, cucumber and noodles. There was also broccoli but it probably had cheese in it. The food was very delicious!
Just one option on the menu that was labelled as fully vegan but I think other things could be vegan or made vegan. Was very very spicy!
Mamy offers a large selection of korean meals quite a few are vegan. The new menu does not show the broccolli sign as a plant based dish anymore but you can ask for the old menu to see (prices from the new menu applies) and it also has pictures of the meals. When ordering double check the dish is vegan as there was one that had the broccolli sign but the staff informed us it contained pork (mandu) and some more dishes that were vegan but didn't have the sign. The staff is knowledgable about veganism and are keen to help you pick a dish. You always get a free starter that contains kimchi and pickled onion and two more items that are not vegan. Again I recommend to check ahead. The smell of grilled meat didn't bother us at the time we went but you can ask to be seated upstairs where it shouldn't be that big of a deal. The meals are tasty, I recommend the bibimbap as it comes with an excellent miso soup or the tofu teriyaki for its rich flavour. I would't order the ssam again as it didn't have any perilla leaves just regular salad, not so much korean.
