Leonardo - Póvoa de Varzim

This is one of the restaurant I can recommend to everyone who likes good food and wine. I have been there 3 times in August 2013, and I went always out with a big smile on my face! The food is really really good, the employees very pleasant and the restaurant is really cheap. A must when you go to Povoa de Varzim!

After a couple of disappointing meals, I came to Trip Advisor for advice. Again, the site did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly. I ordered the beef medallion. I expected a fist size portion, what I got was a portion the size of my face. Had I know this I would not have ordered the appetiser, which was a basic but good salad, again the portion was massive. They also serve appetisers of bread, olives and anchovies while you wait for you meal. We needed the long walk back to our hotel after that meal! Give the quality and portion sizes, it is very good value for money.

Portugal is not european (EU is not EUROPER ! EU is the Oposite of EUROPE ! ! Portugal is a Sovereign Nation with almost 1000 years , the first in EUROPE to be Independent . Portugal 's Cuisine is not european ! It 's Portuguese Cuisine ! Portugal 's Cuisine ! Leonardo 's has one of the best cuisine in Póvoa ! It 's aTraditional and Old restaurant in Póvoa de Varzim ! Portugal has one of the Best in EUROPE and in the World , with a Great Variety of Tastes and Colors , depending of the Region. This is Póvoa de Varzim , a Beach and Fisshing town , North of PORTUGAL in the Entre-Douro-e-Minho Province , frontier with Minho Province . Póvoa a lot of History , always linked to the Sea (but , Portugal also... and so , it 's natural that the Food (Very good and tasty has also , a great Taste of the Sea . So , Enjoy this Lovely town and its delicious food , the Póvoa de Varzim and Enjoy our Beautiful Nation , Portugal !

Awesome value for the price. Very fast service. Portuguese ambiente. Food was a bit salty for my taste therefore 4 stars but anyway very good.

Our meal was SO delicious! I had garlic shrimp with crispy potatoes and a salad and my husband had breaded hake with the crispy potatoes and a salad. The place is welcoming and decorated authentically. The service was attentive and helpful.
