Chef Troy's passion for the culinary arts truly shines through in his innovative twist on Brioche French Toast, which is a game-changer. We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a brunch spot that serves mimosas. Initially hesitant due to its location in a hotel lobby, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We ended up returning two more times during our stay, impressed by the gourmet dishes at affordable prices, the freshly squeezed mimosas, and the quick service. What more could you ask for?

After struggling to find a breakfast spot in downtown Portland for an hour, we decided to try Urban Steel Kitchen as a last resort, hoping the shorter distance would mean a shorter wait. To our delight, the lack of a crowd did not diminish the quality of our experience. The food was outstanding and the staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend trying the French toast, which was like eating a cloud covered in syrup.

I ordered the chicken sandwich, and I have to say, I was not impressed with how thin and crispy the chicken was. It seems that some people enjoy that, but it wasn't to my taste. However, the burger I ordered instead was fantastic! I highly recommend it. The servers handled my feedback about the sandwich well, although they seemed a bit unfriendly and lacking in Oregonian kindness. When I returned for brunch, it was the best diner experience I've ever had. My opinion of the restaurant completely changed for the better. The server, M., was exceptional. Overall, I give this place 4 stars, but I suggest trying lunch here first.

Woah! I didn’t know what to expect since it’s a restaurant at a hotel, but WOW! The food was absolutely excellent and the server was very friendly. If you’re looking for top tier brunch without any long lines/wait times, this spot is a gem ?
