Szechuan Chef Chinese Restaurant

The food was better. kung pao huhn was not as if it was earlier, not taste fresh either pot stickers just okay. better in the city not a fan of hand-razed noodles chicken breast meat was good, but had hoped noodles were regular chow mine, but this is on me. the selection of the beer was not what the menu had — bad had to be updated

We arrived and their restaurant was closed on Valentine's Day.

We arrived on time, but the restaurant refused to sit. they claimed they hadn't done any business with open table. very disappointing.

Most of the reviews here seem pretty accurate to my own experience. The food is really good and at a fair price, with generous portions. The restaurant, however is not very clean in its appearance or with the condiments at your table. See my picture for more on that. I had the Hunan Beef lunch special and it was really good. Great flavor, lots of beef and well-cooked vegetables with the prefect amount of crunch. It was served hot and tasted very fresh. In addition, I had their hot sour soup and some spring rolls. All of it was very good and I'd order it again. My Pepsi was flat. I believe they poured it from a 2 liter bottle that had been open for a few days, because it was flat and reminded me exactly of how it is when you've kept a 2 liter bottle in your fridge too long and open it, but don't hear that fizz sound. You know it's flat, but you drink it anyway. Service was very impersonal, which is fine. I don't think many of them speak much English, but they knew enough to get my order to me. They were also courteous and welcoming when I entered and left. I would eat here again for the food, but advise you to leave your expectations of friendly service and clean surfaces behind. Or order it to go.

Absolutely delicious, highly recommend! The lunch specials are fantastic.
