Southern Whiskey Kitchen - Portland

We visited portland for a family wedding and found southland whiskey kitchen in the first night in the city. our waiter, kevin was absolutely the best! friendly, knowledgeable and great to talk to. eating was extraordinary and the whisky drinks. we were able to visit the restaurant 3 times while we were there, from south carolina, bbq is a stone in our nutrition, and this place has not disappointed us at all. we were also blessed, kevin when our waiter had two of the three times. he recommended eating and drinks that were phenomenal. great place! I wish we had one in charleston!

Determined that they had our work lunch, as it is a personal fave for the ones of us in the beerbiz. they had only a fried chicken (hot and crispy) produced and delivered! , potato salad (fresh and tasty!, pork with rolls and sauce pulled to make sandwiches (smokey and tasteful! and koleslaw (perfects topping or side with the pulled pork and fried chicken! . great eating, good service. spring and satisfied 42 bier rep. highly recommended. huge thanks to SWK team and chef james layton!

That was great. husband had special, ribbed, I had chicken pot pie suppe, which was delicious, my son had a chicken sandwich with speck and Cajun frits. beautiful atmosphere with friendly service. Re-Filled our drinks without asking us. would recommend it.

The best BBQ I have eaten in Portland!!! Service was great and the catered to out food and drink needs!! Ole southern boy from Georgia... me gives it a thumbs up!!

This place will be on the top five list when I move here. Great food, the whiskey honey butter is over the top, brisket melt in your mouth and perfectly flavored.
