Sivalai Thai - Portland

I absolutely love this place! What sets it apart from other restaurants is the genuine joy and appreciation that Meo and all the staff exude every time I visit. They are incredibly courteous and truly care about their customers' happiness. I want to come back as often as possible. Thank you for being so authentic!

Delicious and flavorful food. The owner was extremely friendly and even though we didn't call ahead, our food was ready in about 10 minutes. They are still offering takeout, but we decided to eat at a picnic bench outside. We ordered fried rice, the amazing duck curry, crispy basil with shrimp and pork (and added eggplant), eggplant and pork, and they even threw in a mango sticky rice dessert that was full of flavor and plenty of mango. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be my go-to spot for Thai food.

I can't comprehend why this restaurant has so many reviews and such a high rating. The food is bland and lacks flavor. My order came with mango sticky rice that was undercooked, pad thai with no tamarind flavor, thin and watery curry with a weak taste, and salad rolls with watered-down peanut butter. Not impressed at all. ** lol

The restaurant offers great value with generous portions of high-quality food. Everything was delicious and served hot, especially enjoyed the peaches and pineapple in the Surprise Red Curry and the plentiful broccoli cooked perfectly with beef. The Spicy Fried Rice was also very flavorful. The surprise mango sticky rice was a nice touch and greatly appreciated.

This Thai restaurant in Portland is a hidden gem. The flavors, ingredients, service, and overall quality are outstanding. Despite searching for something similar closer to home, we have never found a match. We happily make the drive to dine here now.
