Mcmenamins Zeus Café - Portland

This is a great spot, near everything, with fine food and service. Nice views for people-watching, and quiet enough to have decent conversation. This is one of our go-to spots for lunch or dinner.

Nice menu options. You can share small plates or have your own main entree. Very good food and service was very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast here was so-so. Got a mushroom goat cheese scramble. The eggs were mushy and watery. The potatoes were a bit too salty. The toast and jam were good. Service was a bit slow considering they weren’t busy as all. Dinner and service the night before on New Year’s Eve before was excellent.

We went to Zeus Cafe for dinner on Christmas, because a couple of our family members had fallen ill and we canceled our plans. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was good problem is that my burger fries were near cold when received. Sort of a bummer. Seemed pretty uncoordinated with dishes left waiting and getting cold when it really wasn’t that busy. Will make me think twice about going back.
