Kung Food - Portland

I arrived 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, aware that this place is typically slow. After finally managing to get someone’s attention, I was informed that my order wasn't ready yet. Twenty minutes later, during a trip to 7-Eleven, I went back in to check on the estimated pickup time, only to be met with a rude response: “it will be ready when it’s ready.” I would rate this experience a 0 out of 10 and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy! It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing—definitely a waste of my time.

I was really disappointed with this restaurant. The fried chicken they served, which they labeled as sesame chicken, was nothing like what I expected. Who thinks this is sesame chicken? I was just looking for some classic Chinese takeout, but instead, everything was deep-fried in a greasy tempura batter and the meat was mushy. I couldn't even tell if the egg roll contained chicken, pork, or a mix of both, and the pork fried rice was simply bland. It's hard to believe this place has a rating of 4 stars; it feels incredibly misleading. Clearly, those who enjoy this restaurant have either lost their sense of taste or smell.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and I’ve always enjoyed the food, which is generally excellent. However, I’m planning to change my review to five stars once they update their hours on Google and their website. If they advertise being open until 9 or 9:30, they should allow seating until those times. If that’s not possible, they really need to specify the last seating time. Tonight, when I arrived, the staff member I spoke to was quite rude about it and disregarded my suggestion on how they could better communicate their hours to customers. The service was much better when the owner was running things personally.

I will state and copy the review before me re: this restaurant 's idea of SESAME CHICKEN! Horrible!! Aaand to add insult to injury they give you a tiny little container of some kind of jello sauce to pour over their chicken nuggets. While visiting Portland from the East coast we wanted to do some take out, so I suggested Chinese food, adding that you can 't go wrong with bad food, but this specific establishment has proven me wrong. Ugh!!

I love this place tasting menu and fast service on order. many parking spaces of n lombard. some of my favorite dishes are the house broccoli, pot stickers, hot n sour suppe, honey dry fried beef. then general tso 's huh is good, but the last time I got it, it was on the mild side. I'm sure they can ask for more warm. looks like the dining room is open and they also have video poker.
