We of course started with oysters and selected a half dozen of Maine oysters with delicious sauces. We enjoyed two delicious soups and personally, the Maine Lobster Stew was the single best dish that I had in Portland due to the awesome coconut and curry flavor coupled with lobster chunks. The scallop crudo also blew me away with a mix of turmeric puffs and mint oil. Finally, the fish sandwich was by far the best I've eaten. Overall, Eventide Oyster somehow beat my loft expectations and, in my view, is the best must eat at restaurant in Portland, Maine.
Husband and I were restaurant hopping in Portland and this was our first stop. We sat at the bar, got a couple of drinks, half a dozen of oysters, and the most delicious fried oyster roll. The pickled veggies on the oyster roll was fantastic and the bread was super soft and just perfect. Wish we had room for more food, but we had other places to explore. 11/10 highly recommend.
Inventive dishes with an Asian twist. The black cod was the best. The lobster roll was half as big as a regular lobster roll but it was cooked well. The crunchy omelette was an interesting vegetarian dish but was slightly salty.
We had such an amazing time here!! It was our first time and we knew we had tk try and we were right to come! The food was so amazing and so fresh! The staff were super cool and friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. As soon as you walk in you see the oyster bar and it's just so cool to see. Its best to come earlier as the line will get long fast!
We had the best dishes here and we went back the next morning to get them again. The best time to go is right when they open. They have very few indoor tables, but plenty counter, bar, and outdoor space. My husband and I still talk about the lobster roll and Maine lobster stew. Service was friendly and quick. Drinks were on point and everything we got was delicious! This will be a staple whenever we’re in town.
