Great tacos and margaritas for a laid-back dinner. I ordered the short rib and black bean tacos, both generously stuffed with hearty fillings and toppings. I considered getting a third taco for an extra dose of flavor but opted to share some chips and salsa instead. The chips had a unique hint of sweetness that I really enjoyed. I also tried the prickly pear margarita, which was delicious and not overly sweet. I would definitely come back to sample other intriguing appetizers from the menu.
I visited this restaurant shortly before returning to Seattle, after a recommendation from my tattoo artist. My friend and I each had three tacos (I chose vegetarian while he opted for meat) and we shared the elote. **Elote: 5/5** - We started with the elote and it was absolutely delicious. I could eat it every day! I appreciate that they serve it at a manageable temperature so you can enjoy it right away without burning your mouth, which is often a problem for me with corn dishes. **Black Calf and Mountain Spinach Taco: 3/5** - This taco was tasty, but I wouldn't order it again. I felt it needed a bit more substance and sauce. While it's a flavorful way to get your greens, I think it could have been enhanced especially with some salsa verde! **Wild Mushrooms Taco: 4/5** - This taco was flavorful and filling. I'm not the biggest fan of arugula, but most mushroom lovers would probably enjoy it. **Avocado Taco: 5/5** - By far my favorite among the three vegetarian options! I loved the addition of black beans and the overall freshness of the dish. I would definitely order this one again! My friend tried three different tacos: - Black Salmon: 3/5 - Smoked Carlton Farm’s Black Belly: 2/5 - Piedmontese Short Rib: 1/5 (not fast or cheap). Overall, with drinks, our total came to about $50. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!
Really happy with this place! it was a good option for my Celiac/Gluten-free friend. are small, but delicious! great tacos and tortilla chips! really enjoyed the tortilla suppe aromen. fantastic cocktails. wish they had alcohol-free beer option.
White girl here moved from California my husband is Latino. First I liked the place, we are living in Tigard so nothing is open past 9pm. The Waitress/bartender was very nice and attentive. Salsa can tell you a lot about a Mexican restaurant , this was very lacking in flavor for me. Plus being charged for Salsa was kind of weird. We had tacos, they were good but did wow us. The cocktails we good. The place was clean but the menus we very sticky. If in the area we might give them another try but not going to drive from home again.
