The pretentious A-hole at the front door told us we had to wait 30-45 minutes, although it wasn't busy. The pretentious a-hole obviously thought we were not the right amount for this pretentious little place. Not sure what his deal is / was, but I'll never bother with this place again.
Beautiful small cozy venue dressed as a residential house in Sellwood. Interior decor is very cool. Wr sat at the bar and received very attentive service from the bar call. Cocktails were fantastic. Get there early as it fills up quickly and the street parking can be tricky.
This review is for the outdoor area, but I cannot find a separate listing. I really enjoyed this place. The live music was excellent, and I heard that the artists are always pretty good. The drinks were funny that I tried a spin on a Moscow mule, and the Portland Fog. I tried the second hot and it was perfect. Very lavender flavored, although you are not a big fan. The food was really good. We did the baked bride, charcuterie board and meatball court. It was good, though we ordered too much for two. The staff was friendly and the line moved quickly.
Had a nice evening here while you enjoy a fabulous cocktail, The Martyr. I love everything about this place. The atmosphere is amazing. It's easy to feel back in time. And the drinks are top notch. I always leave my usual when I come here, trust the bartender and order from their menu. There is no sign of advertising in this place, you just go to an old Victorian house that looks like all the others and open the door. Remember to knock once, wait a second, and then knock twice. When the doorman opens the door, shake his hand with the left hand, not with the right hand. And then you're in!
