Bethany Public House - Portland

It used to be a five-star experience, now it is between a three- to four-star experience. The menu has been changed, they no longer have their happy hour menus on the table, you need to know about it and ask for it. The veggie burger with Mayo and cheese became vegan and was delicious. All the others shaved around the chicken armchairs. The waitress was new and tried to get us out as soon as possible, although the place was less than half full, I still eat and she wanted us to pay our bill. We didn't like that. The atmosphere was all decent. We miss the people who worked there. A good place to go.

I want to prevent this by saying that nothing was so bad or annoying, not to try to go back or make an upsurge in time, but it was not the greatest first impression. We noticed that a cocktail was missing the spiced vodka when a second of the same drink was ordered and it came out a completely different color. The page for an order was wrong and the vegetables on another were quite overwhelming without much taste. Dessert had a hair and what seemed a plastic fiber in it? I'm not sure, but it was easy to avoid. It was a lot of small things that were added. Our server was very nice.

Food is very good. It's worth returning. Unfortunately, our service was terrible. Our hosts and our servers never brought water and our server forgot our appetizers. He never came to check us during our meal. Maybe four times? The food was great and a great atmosphere, so we will try again.

Our favorite restaurant in the metro area. Employees are always friendly food is beautiful and full of great flavors. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Drink list varied and had great choices. Lots of local food options.
