Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe wanted to bid farewell to Accanto and the regretted Genoa since Chef Erik Van Kley decided to abandon ship. Apparently, it's reported, he had lost interest. Alas, this neighborhood bistro has long been beloved by many. Unfortunately, this last meal was marred by the same tragic oversalting that made Chef Erik's menu at Tailor Railworks so unpalatable. Two of three dishes were Dead Sea salty. We appreciated that the waiter comped us one of those. RIP Accanto
We ordered Tapas for a relatively quick meal. The server arranged it into multiple courses with breaks in between. Dinner took forever.Getting the server’s attention was difficult. A few dishes were interesting, but overall average food. Would not go back
So sad this restaurant is closing. Their impact on the neighborhood has been beyond measure. I am going to miss their divine menu and impeccable service! Thank you for everything! May you see so much success in your next endeavor
Really disappointed by this experience. I’ve been to this restaurant many times and never had a bad experience here until this evening. Everything was great until the check arrived. First, we asked it be split and then it was returned woefully low half price. We told the manager of the issue. Then it was over based on bottles of wine billed a third higher than quoted. The manager then tried to negotiate that we pay higher than quoted due to error. We said absolutely no. Manager was than extremely rude. This was one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, but never again. Horrible attitude for a loyal return customer and just bad service. They’ve lost my business forever..
I reserved a table but arrived early, so I ended up at the bar. No matter, the bartender served me, providing expert advice on wine and food. My eyes were glued to the chefs who work behind a section of the bar. Accanto has lovely, creative Italian food. I love the strozzapretti Prieststranglers with a lamb and goat cheese ragu. I also enjoyed excellent gelato and a smoked rose that was almost too red to be rose. A lovely treat
