Hickorys Charbroil Grill

I moved from Port Washington NY, 5 years ago and I just want to say that your taste bbq is truly unique as I remembered it. Not too many places like that! It is brilliant to know that texas taste holds a little something against your places for over 30 years! I was one of the Jehovah's Witnesses, but because of the Texas state bbq about it, it is no longer so. My new spiritual experience rests on food to live again!

Quaint little restaurant. Inexpensive very good food. Don't be put off by the way and size of the place. Great home made fries and onion rings.

The restaurant has a rather old-fashioned vibe, and while they do have a seating area, I wouldn’t recommend dining in. However, it’s excellent for takeout and is definitely the best BBQ spot around. The ribs are tender and flavorful, and both the beef brisket and pulled pork are delicious. I suggest ordering a combo—you’ll get a bit of everything to sample!

We should definitely support one of the few remaining independent BBQ places in the area. Their ribs are excellent!

Best BBQ on all of Long Island! Here’s what you should order at Hickory: definitely go for the BBQ or smoked dishes. My favorite is the grilled chicken – it’s hands down the juiciest grilled chicken I’ve ever had, nothing else comes close! The fries are all handmade from fresh potatoes right on the premises, making your car smell heavenly. I recommend taking your food to Sunset Park to enjoy by the water.
