Eastern Strawberry - Port Washington

My fiance and I moved to Port Washington last year and have been ordering from Eastern Strawberry for all our Chinese food takeout orders. I love their vegetarian options. They're always willing to mix different sauces with different dishes, and the food is always ready promptly. I typically order fried tofu with veggies in curry sauce with vegetable lo mein or eggplant in garlic sauce. The tofu comes nicely fried, crispy on the outside and firm on the inside. The curry sauce is really tasty, but their garlic sauce is really a gem. It's one of the best garlic sauces I've had, (coming from a young Jewish man, this says a lot!! . Give them a try, definitely get something with garlic sauce.

The delivery time was not accurate. I was told it would take 30 minutes, but it arrived 1.5 hours later. I called twice, and each time the person assured me it was on the way. When I called again, I was told they had just prepared it. I find this very misleading and dishonest. The food itself was just average. Overall, I am very disappointed.

The wings still had feathers on them, the rice lacked flavor, and the broccoli tasted bland.

The food was terrible. What on earth was that? Jelly?? Do they not know how to make a decent dressing for their dishes? I wasted my money today and I'm really disappointed; this is the first time I've had such a bad experience here. The egg rolls tasted old and over-fried, and the dumplings were excessively fried and very dry. I just can't believe it!!!
