The chef, Luigi, comes across as arrogant and intimidating. It is disheartening to witness young employees being intimidated by their superiors in a country with robust labor laws. My sympathy goes out to these young individuals.
Play You then have to eat golf a high end of Italian meal. They do not serve Parmesan cheese and they do not serve bread. Service was terrible. Someone who knows golf should buy this course because it's too expensive.
Pretty tough course but would be easier if they at least had players books for new visitors to the course. The maps on the golfcarts are arduous and cumbersome to use. Actually quite useless. If you want to walk, your out of luck. Good golf courses offer players books for sale. For the price of this course and how they are trying to make themselves a prestige course where many people are visitors, then have the resources to make it a great experience. Hate having to grab multiple clubs when its a 90 degree rule in place and you dont have a players book to help you. The course was in average shape due to rain and full of goose poop on many holes but the greens were very good speed and the bunkers were well maintained.
Four of us recently dined at this fine establishment. The dinner, ambience and location was outstanding. The Garlic Shrimp were the best that we have ever tasted. Mussels, albeit very small were in a fabulous sauce. Lasagna, The Burger and the Gnocchi were also scrumptious. However, the highlight of our dining experience was our superb waitress Tara. She was the epitome of professionalism; she was very attentive, possessed a caring attitude and was very cordial and courteous. But most of all you could tell that she was just a down right GENUINE individual with the brightest of futures ahead of her. Please convey the highest of accolades to this young lady and GIVE her a raise, as she is a most excellent ambassador for your establishment. Kudos all around.
We booked a reservation for 7:30pm this past Saturday for our one year wedding anniversary. We stayed at Christie Mills for the weekend and it was listed as a near by location for meals and we were looking for something a little bit more upscale to celebrate. What a mistake. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told it would be 20 minutes before we got a table. They sat us at the bar and we had a drink and waited. 20 minutes in they say if we don’t mind not being by the window they could seat us. We said it didn’t matter. Another 20 minutes had past and we still didn’t have a table. Reservation for 7:30pm, we arrived 10 minutes early and now it was just past 8pm. We were hungry and irritated so we paid for the drinks and left. We noticed a lot of people coming in after us and being seated. I imagine they were members. I thought the point of making reservations was to avoid this type of thing happening. It completely ruined our celebration. Luckily a local restaurant stayed open for us as we arrived and explained what happened and they felt so bad they kept the kitchen open to serve us dinner since now it was past 830pm, we were starved and had no opportunity to celebrate our anniversary like intended. The whole experience was awful. Won’t be recommending this place nor will we be back. Don’t bother with reservations. They don’t matter here. Having said that I would just avoid this place altogether. I would rate it zero stars if I could.
