We are looking for st. anthony from norris point and looking for lunch. not much available along hwy 430 at this point, but saw glowing review this site and they are not sweating. we had fish and chips that are super tasty. my daughter loves the poutin. it is only 8 minutes' drive from hawke’s bay. that's worth it. this is a food truck. it is located near the marine service centre and they will see many ships near. there is also washing room, shower and washroom at the port authority building, which is 5 minutes walk from the food truck. we used the washroom and it's super clean. it has opened 11 to 19 hours, but closed on Sunday. port authority's washroom system opens from 8 to 17 clocks, as the shield says. they don't drive like that after so many years. the coastal road between western brook pond trail to st. anthony, nl are a must to do.
On this place, while they drive up the half island. we had the codjauburgers. the cod was indescribable delicious and it was a generous size (in contrast to most nfld restaurants). it was succulent and was perfectly cooked by the charming owner. as. as she tasted so good, her answer took it perfect; “This cod was still swimming last night, right behind me in this bay”. I recommend
We absolutely loved the fresh cod fish sandwich at this restaurant during our trip. Fish dishes in Newfoundland are always delicious, but this one was exceptional. The chefs know exactly where to source the freshest fish, and they are very friendly and down-to-earth. We made sure to visit this place every time we were in town, and we were never disappointed. Highly recommended!
Happened upon this spot just in time for lunch and the lady suggested we try what she just had the cod burger platter and it was awesome...fresh and so good ! Lots of choices on her menu and she explained they are in the process...of building an actual restaurant....apparently they had one there before and were hoping to get it going full time again. They do have a few picnic tables around. They do only take cash ...which we were short of that day ...but made due there is a credit union just up the hill should you need to get some.
