Sweet Maple - Port Perry

We enjoyed visiting Port Perry and was looking for a place to eat lunch. We saw a breakfast and lunch restaurant in a little mall and thought we would give it a try. Husband had the triple decker grilled cheese and choice of soup, salad or fries. Very delicious. I had the home made seafood chowder soup. It was also very good served with a lovely tea biscuit that tasted him made, very light and fluffy tea biscuit. Free coffee refills. Would go there again to try something different. Has soup of the day special.

Too Expensive. Definitely not worth the money with so many other great places to go in town. Eggs were overcooked and restaurant was cold.

Terrible food. Definitely far from being any home cooked meal. This was our first visit, and I'm sorry we stayed. No other customers in the restaurant! Now we can see why! The food was definitely cooked from a frozen state, and everything is processed. Dirty washrooms, slow service. Over priced. All the red flags!

Reading some of the reviews, we had low expectations. But wow, were we pleasantly surprised. Our breakfast was hot and done well. Lots of food and good value. Our server was amazing. The ambiance of the place was average, but clean. And you could catch the morning news on the TV's. In my books the measure of a place is would I go back regularly and for me the answer is a resounding yes.

We visit this restaurant for breakfast often and the food is always consistently great, well prepared, well priced and accompanied by friendly service. My husband's favourite dish is the corned beef hash...he says it's one of the best he's ever had!
