Porthood and surroundings do not shine for variety and richness of locals, we happened here by chance without having consulted reviews of tripadvisor and from Italian I must confess that I did not have the courage to try dishes like "meat ball and linguini (single dish) but I folded on a prudent seafaring chowder and vegetarian wrap very rich with garden salad. Everything really delicious! and the added value was assured by the lovely lady with short hair and glasses that served us and also recommended a delicious curry sauce of excellent dressing to the fish and chips with sweet post ordered by my husband.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Margaree Hrb. Just ordered the seafood chowder and I have to say that it has been the best we have had yet! OMG the seafood was cooked to perfection and a nice leeks and onions base. I do have to say however, that the soup was either so freshly made it didn't have time to really marry the flavours or it was underseasoned. But it was hot like soup is supposed to be, enjoyed every bite.Service was very slow for it being a simple soup order, but that seems to be the pace along the trail.

For one night at port hood we followed the opinions of tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The restaurant is very popular, both by local customers and by tourists like us. The dishes are very varied, with specialties of the sea but also meat. Our dinner was accompanied by live music by a very good singer (on Sunday it is between 6pm and 8pm). The service was friendly.We recommend.

Came here for a late supper around 8:30 pm on Friday night. It was noisy but the place was full and they were busy. I had the fish tacos, they were really good, as was the side salad. My partner had the smoked meat sandwich and she said the bread was hard (it looked like it had been toasted in a Panini press) but otherwise it was good. Service was good, waitress was great. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Arrived to town on Sunday evening and we were starving. Stopped in here for dinner and we were not disappointed. Seafood chowder was delicious and the biscuit that went along with it was to die for. I had the burger for dinner and the flavor was great, although a little small. My partner had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was great. Good selection of beers and cocktails. The server was friendly. We will be back before the week is up!
