Charlie's On East - PORT FAIRY

The setting for Charlie’s can’t be beaten. Situated on the foreshore with panoramic views of the beach it’s a 5 star location but still informal and inexpensive so hard to beat. Great kids menu. Partner had the chowder which was given a thumbs up and I stayed old school with fish and chips which were great.

Staff: honest, informative, very busy restaurant for few staff but they’re quick considering. <br/ <br/ Food: I ordered the vego breakfast. I wasn’t a fan of the bread, fairly average. I would have paid extra for sour dough however the eggs were cooked very well! Very creamy and the ingredients tasted fresh. <br/ <br/ Atmosphere: overlooks the ocean, could be decorated with more attention to detail and with less basic features and utensils but nothing can beat that view.

The food and coffee at this restaurant were fantastic. I tried the breakfast bruschetta and it was a generous and delicious serving. I normally don't take pictures of my food, but it was so good that I couldn't resist! The location by the beach was lovely, although the interior had a bit of a surf club vibe.

The burger was packed to the brim and dripping with sauce/fat. The turkish bun was a good option. Felt like a very hearty and filling burger. Flavour was good. 7.5/10...

Went there today for brekky. Ordered brekky wrap French toast with bananas bacon. Food was delicious good coffee too. Not a great day for admiring the view, but could imagine it on a sunny day. Really enjoyable will be back again
