This place is cool best breakfast place in Goolwa. Went here two days in a row on a recent beach weekend and had the big breakfast. Nice outdoor seating...
Located in prime position on Port Elliots main street. Indoor and outdoor seating (lovely in the winter sun). Extensive menu with many innovative, original and very flavoursome options. We had soup of the day (pumpkin and sweet potato with garlic bread), Nasi Goreng with calamari rings (nice addition to a delicious chilli spiced dish) and quinoa, pumpkin and carrot fritters with hummous and dukkah - we were all very happy with our choices. Very well priced, good drinks menu and friendly, efficient staff.
We've been in the area a very short time and try and sit down for a coffee most days.Actually all of the cafes here are pretty good but we seem to end up here more oftern.I think it is the position in the high street and a lovely outside terrace to sit on to watch the world go by.We have found the staff very friendly, it's a busy cafe and that doesn't stop the smiles.Coffee isn't the standard of a high end barista driven Cafe you find in the cities but even to us coffee snobs it's pretty good. We've only had coffee and cake here, not a huge choice of cake as you might expect but winter is coming so they be mindful of waste out of season. The food we have seen looks very tasty but much in keeping with the Australian way, far to big a portion, which might explain some of the pricey comments made in other reviews. If you're in town, well worth a visit.
