IHOP Restaurant - Port Coquitlam

My favorite in this area. Nice staff, clean place and very tasty food!! I had Bacon crusted chicken and my mom had Rousted turkey and we enjoyed every bite love their original pancakes too!

Great service and waitress(Christina , fast service, delicious pancakes and hot tea-brought two plates as we shared and whipped cream on the side, even though I forgot to ask and no problems as the food was free as I joined the pancake revolution a few years ago.: only down I found was busy, even at 11am but the restaurant is small.

Yesterday we had brunch in here. We ordered chicken with waffle and strawberry crepes. Both were amazingly good. The waffle was fluffy inside and nice crunch on outside. The chicken with the honey mustard sauce was heaven. The strawberry crepes were just cherry on top, very good.the service the server was good too. The portions are too big atleast for us. But i would visit again for their pancakes this time.

Expected the worst... But.... After ready all the reviews while sitting waiting to be seated I started to have second thoughts about wanting to eat here. Read about how bad the customer service was or how unruly the servers were and how horrid the food was. Idk what happened a few months ago with those unfortunate people but I really enjoyed the food here! Our server was really polite, the bussers were very helpful and we're more then willing to help you when you called them. The server checked in on us regularly to see if our food was good. I ordered the T-bone steak and was scared it would be over cooked or under cooked at medium rare but no it was perfect! I would come back to this location but I'm sure it's just a hit or miss and depends on the cooks. Maybe the people at this location read the reviews and fixed what was wrong with the place but for me I enjoyed my experience at this location 5 stats from me : GG

We were so disappointed for the first time as this is our go to for dinner when I come into Port Coquitlam from Kamloops. Last night we arrived at 6:15 pm. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children and we were seated without Childrens Menus and had to ask for them and the crayons the kids get with them. At 6:20 we were asked what we would like to drink, so we ordered our drinks. 1st it said kids drinks were included so one of the kids ordered 7 up and the other hot chocolate. We finally got our drinks at approx 6:35 and ordered our dinner. We received the kids meals only about 15 min later and approx 10 min after the rest of got our dinner. It stated on the menu we would receive 2 pancakes until we could eat no more and were never offered any extra pancakes at all. The waitress never even came to see if we needed refills of our pop, or to ask how our meals were until we were almost done. My adult son actually got up and refilled his soda on his own as we had no waitress to offer to refill our drinks. We video 'd my son refilling his drink for proof he had to get up and get his own. When the waitress finally came over after she had done some of her closing duties in another section and asked how everything was, we told her we were VERY DISAPOINTED in the service we received, she snickered a small laugh and said Oh I am sorry and walked away to get the bill. She brought the bill and the debit machine without even knowing if we were paying cash or card. I was still trying to eat my meal while she stood there with the machine. I told her to please come back as I wanted to review the bill. Noticed she had charged for both kids meals as well as the 7 up my grand daughter ordered with her kids meal. She did remove the kids meals and complimented my meal as my appetite was gone and I barely touched my Salisbury steak. I had to tell her I thought you said the kids eat free Also mentioned the all you can eat pancakes were only 2 that came with their meals and we were never offered any extra. We asked for a manager and was told there was no manager working so this is why I am writing this review. We finally paid and left at 7:32PM still hungry and very disappointed with the service. I have tried to make a comment on I Hops contact page and it kept bouncing me out. When I tried to call it would not go through as I have an anonymous cell number and they don 't accept unknown callers. I am not home in Kamloops to call from my own phone, now a long distance charge for me to call the manager. The food this time was good as always, we just were very disappointed in the service and there was actually 4 waitress 's working and very few people in the Restaurant. They were all busy cleaning tables in the empty sections, filling all the stuff for the next day. Closing is 8 pm and we arrived in plenty of time to eat and be gone before 7:30 so they could have cleaned after the customers had left. Hate to say it but 6 of us go out to eat each time and we won 't be going back here after this visit. I will be trying to reach the manager once I get back to Kamloops to discuss this matter.
