When I wrote my last review of Angela's, I noticed the “mother” room and “big” carrot cake. What is more, I concluded by saying when you were in a fast bite, while in Port Clements, Angelas was “probably your best bet” because, while... the menu was simple, the convenience food in the offer usually meet all the right notes. What a difference does a few years! Angelas, it seems, has fallen significantly since my last review. THE MENU: Once again Angelas has shown a decent menu for such a small institution. You can order BLTs, Clubhouse Sandwiches, simple burgers, chicken burgers, soups and breakfast. Well, like this writing, the menu is limited to a few soups and sandwiches – and these sandwiches are prepacked and sitting in a cooler. SERVICE: Far from being friendly this time, I found the service boundary line rude and very transactions. When I ordered my chicken maize cat, no word was pronounced. Even a false smile would go a long way here. FOOD: As mentioned, the sandwiches are prepacked and of the same way you can find in Chevron or any gas bar. I will not judge them; but I can comment on the soup. In short, it was probably the biggest art palace. When it was handed over to me, I noticed that the Styrofoam container was not even warm. When I tried a few minutes later, I couldn't help but laugh. The chicken mais-chowder was ICE COLD. Yum. So much for heating comfort food. If it's a consolation, the carrot cake remains decent. FOODS: 2/5 SERVICE: 2/5 VALUE: 2/5 RECOMMENDATION: When I wrote my first review, the options in Port Clements were actually limited; that is no longer the case (thanks to goodness). Well, if you want a quick bite, I would recommend the Buck Snort Café or Fork in Port. The Bayview Market also sells delicious pastries and other snacks. In short, I can't recommend Angelas. Why to settle food for gas station when there are better possibilities nearby? PS: If you have found this review helpful in any way, please note to meet the helpful button!
This was the only place for food in Port Clements. It was once said that we had set ourselves and the menus (which were on the table) saw that they had run out of food since the previous day. The staff was friendly. The pastries were stable, but the coffee was good.
This little food is with the gas station in Port Clements. The locals also gather there. The menu is simple and offers things I remember from childhood like a BLT and potato salad. The food was delicious and the coffee was good. I think what I loved about Angela's place was initially Angela, who is friendly. It is a place that also thinks about how life is simple when you live in a place that is harder to reach. It means to appreciate and respect the simple and basic things of life. I think this little place has heart and that came through the short visit and the BLT that tasted so good.
This is a tiny village. The choice was a van serving food outside of town, or Angela's Place. We decided on the latter, and we were not disappointed. First, the owner, Angela, is a charming, friendly person. Secondly, the menu is limited, but hits the...right spots. I enjoyed my beef soup and chicken burger, and my wife enjoyed her burger with macaroni salad on the side. We shared a generous slice of Angela's famous carrot cake. Coffee is self-serve. You can even pick up a used paperback at the bookshelves in the corner.
