Bass Lake Roadhouse - Port Carling

This is not a huge restaurant so during weekends it can get very busy. They do not take reservations and since there aren't many places like this in the area you may have to wait for a table. The wait staff were really friendly and the food is your typical pub fare. Not a bad place to stop if in the area but don't expect a high end restaurant.

Kitchen shuts down for a 15 pizza takeout order and leaves fully packed restaurant of families waiting for their food for an hour and half during dinner hour. They gave no warning at time delay and did nothing to accommodate families. We left. Drove to Turtle Jacks. Was seated in 5 minutes and served with perfect food in 20. They had full restaurant too. Choice is obvious.

We went here for a late lunch and the service was pretty slow but the food was good. The portions were good for the price.

Have not been to the Bass Lake lodge for 10 years. We stopped in as it is near our cottage and loved it. Great pub atmosphere for pub food. Really good wings and burgers. Will definitely be back more often now
