We arrived at the motel to make a reservation and discovered that there was a restaurant onsite. Since we had a busy day ahead, we decided to dine there. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty with only two other tables occupied, the service was poor. The menu had high prices for a basic restaurant. We placed our orders at the counter and I requested a side of sauce for an additional cost, only to be told that they do not offer sides or jugs of sauce. Our garlic bread was served, but it was lacking in garlic and butter. A customer at another table found a hair in his meal and requested a replacement. Our meals eventually arrived, with my "Krispy fish" lacking lemon and poorly presented. The fish was unpleasant, with subpar vegetables and onions in the potatoes. My partner ordered steak and received salad instead of the vegetables he requested. The restaurant was not busy, so errors like these should not have occurred. The young waitress was unwelcoming and could benefit from improving her customer service skills. Our overall experience was disappointing and not worth the high cost. I do not recommend this restaurant. It was a forgettable, expensive meal at $70.
Excellent, efficient service. We both had the same meal, Chef's Special, that was beef carving. A very pleasant meal. generous serving at a fair price. Would recommend.
We ordered the chicken bags with shrimp and Camembert cheese, served with a garlic butter sauce, and they were delicious. We also tried the oysters and cheesy garlic bread. I think these items are the hidden gems of this place.
