The staff is friendly and the coffee is delicious. Don't forget to check out their gift shop for locally made items.
We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with generous portion sizes. The setting was stunning and we would highly recommend this place. The cappuccino was also very well-made.
We decided to make a detour on our way to visit this cafe specifically for their Tasting Plate, which is heavily advertised in tourist brochures. However, when we arrived at 12noon on a Saturday and waited in line for 15 minutes to order, we were informed that they had run out of the Tasting Plate. When I inquired about it, the staff hesitated before confirming that they had indeed run out and rolled their eyes. This was very disappointing, especially for a place that attracts tourists. I also questioned if they had saved the Tasting Plates for the large group tables that were reserved.
Beautiful outdoor seating under beautiful bird song. Simple but solid lunch options no complaints. We needed nothing imagination and a wrap and Focaccia did the trick both served efficiently and were very fresh. The wine list is really sad if you... wish a lunch. Jacobs Bach and yellow dick. Honestly, SA has better cheap wine options to offer so that was quite embarrassing and surprising.
What a fabulous hidden gem. Had no idea this place existed. As a visitor to Port Augusta I was taken there for lunch by a friend who resides here. She couldn't have chosen a better location. The vegetarian options were numerous and tempting. It was...a well thought out menu with further extra dishes displayed on a specials board. I'm thinking of doing lunch there again tomorrow before driving back to Adelaide. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a truly pleasurable experience.
