We started off with a complimentary appetizer of a cheese stuffed date that was incredible, followed by a smoked salmon appetizer and three daily specials: swordfish risotto that was fabulous, pork cheeks that melted in your mouth, and a very unique and delicious passion fruit ice cream with vinegar ball pastry. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious, and very fairly priced!
This restaurant has maintained very high standards of quality ever since its inauguration. The food menu is vast, always presenting several dishes of delicious fish and meats. Wine selection is top. Staff is extremely courteous and efficient.
Dinner here proved a pleasant surprise since we were virtually the only clients. Very attentive service and a well balanced menu made for a very enjoyable relaxed evening. Pork tenderloin a little overdone, but excellent grilled salmon and a light orange pudding desert were highlights. Very good for a quiet evening if staying in the hotel.
After a long day sightseeing, we decided not to go in search of a restaurant for dinner. We had seen a flyer on the Escuna dinner buffet and decided to try it. It was an excellent value and we went twice during our stay. While the salad and appetizers were the usual seen in hotel buffets, the entrees were different and well prepared. The best were grilled pork chop with mango salsa and boeuf bourguinon. The desserts were a notch above the usual, especially the dense chocolate cake and passion fruit flan.
Nice service and very good food. Very good organized and they helped us to change to a table outsida without hesitation. Only thing that made it a 4 star instead of 5 was that the meat wasn't medium as order (it was medium/well done) and the dessert didn't come with the tea, the tea came earlier. However the dessert lovely!
