Cafebar G - Ponta Delgada

While spending a week in Ponta delgada on a youth project with 15 people we were given several food treats at the newly opened PONTO G cafe bar in the centre of the city during that time. Bruno Corvelo, a young brave and energetic entrepreneur from the island, decided to open a new cafe despite the economic crisis hitting south Europe. The young staff speak very well english and try their utmost to provide you with good service. There is always a smile for the customers from Bruno- the owner, chef, waiter and bartender. The food is mainly cafe style with huge, tasty sandwiches, but they can arrange an Azorean food night upon request for groups. This is an amazing treat with the best of the best from Azores. See pictures for how they cook the traditional Chorizo sausage with an open flame- delicious! They are growing their own herbs in the back yard for use with the food. If you want a snack or a drink or simply a coffee, this is absolutely worth a try. The furniture is home made by Brono from old Europall wood. Go and have a look!
