Their take-away bar is made fresh daily and is just as good as dining in. Its like a market restaurant, so it also has almost anything you could need for groceries as far as basics are concerned: eggs, honey, meat, cheese, pasta and wine mostly. Very cute and would highly recommend.
Exquisite food and good local wine
Such a great Italian bistro. Great decor and the food was excellent
We had a wonderful lunch here 5 years ago. We didn't realize we arrived just as they were closing, yet they treated us with the utmost courtesy and didn't rush us at all. This time we arrived for a full dinner with plenty of time to enjoy the experience. There is an outside seating area that feels like a hidden surprise. We started with a delicate mixed appetizer of fried cheese, potato croquettes and eggplant meatballs. We each enjoyed delectable primi. My choice spaghetti puttanesca with capers, olives, and anchovies while my husband enjoyed spaghetti ale cozze, if memory serves me. The highlight for my husband was his secondo tagliatte di manzo (Marchegiano on the menu). It was superb. As always, one of the most memorable aspects of a meal is the ambience and the service. Each item we had was served on an iconic Solimene plate by a cheerful and professional wait staff. At the end of the meal, the owner came over to greet us and make sure we were happy with our dinner. We told him how much we had appreciated their patience with us 5 years ago and how we'd hoped to return ever since which please him immensely! A great meal to end our trip to Italy
Food was barely decent. The staff cannot communicate in English to such an extent that when the dish you order is unavailable, no one will tell you about it, you have to wonder yourself why it was not given to you.
