This three-storey building is where three of our favorite restaurants of plymouth have been operating on different floors for up to twenty years more or less. it seems that everything is closed. first: the noodle lounge on the top floor is closed between... one and two years when mike the excellent Chinese cook was taken very seriously ill. Finally, the NL menu was successfully integrated into the Hakka selection in the first floor. then withte januar was announced that the sublime and successful goto Japanese restaurant on the midst floor would have to close the days later, because it was renter refused to renew his lease contract. it was closed, although it says chef chef owner, he is determined to open somewhere else asap. tonight we came to the building to eat in hakka, only to find the whole place locked and in the darkness, all the signs turned off and the outside menu is all lit. no information or references indicating that the situation is temporary. it's a great scandal and we sincerely hope that goto will soon appear somewhere. what hakka, sad, recently it was cutting its staff numbers and service from the kitchen was slowed down. we hope everything is not as grim as it looks.
I was really excited to eat here, but when we go up and go up we did not find any atmosphere and not so friendly. eat quite expensive and really not good, I will not go back there.
Try this restaurant tonight I wasn't sure what I wanted, the waitress was fantastic and helped me to choose something that wasn't even on the menu she was made it especially for me and tasted fantastic great place will definitely try this restaurant again...give
We always enjoy the food here and we came in over Xmas/New Year. The food was wonderful large mains with a large dish of Singapore noodles, beers and tea, ample for two, less than total. Only problem, just one person greeting, clearing...tables, seating, taking orders, sorting drinks, laying table, serving everything, so mins from walking in (without a reservation and to full restaurant) and at the end a wait for the table to be cleared and the same to get the bill. That one person tonight was working hard and fast throughout. No fault of theirs! These are strange times in Plymouth with cafes and restaurants coming and going like the tide but not having a mechanism for prompt service, even of loyal regulars, is not the way to stay healthy.
