Greedy Goose - Plymouth

We visited the Greedy Goose for our wedding anniversary. It was quiet being midweek, but it was still a cosy atmosphere . Food was excellent, with a range of dishes. Wine list was varied and extensive. Service was also excellent. Definitely one for special occasions, but well worth it

We opted for the 11 course tasting menu for the first time with the Greedy Goose. The service was very slow on this evening and the restaurant was not packed. The temperature of some of the dishes were not what was expected and for the cost of £240 for two, I didn't feel I got the experience that my money had paid for.

A real gem of a find, cannot fault it. Exquisite cuisine. Portions just right i think, not slabs of food but satisfying and well presented. Unfortunately, we had ordered dessert but it did take a while in coming, so we had to cancel it as we had to be at the theatre for a performance. Shame. In busier periods, you may have to wait longer as the food is individually prepared and much more thought goes into it; so factor that in if your time is limited or simply book 30 mins earlier. Overall, highly rated and a wonderful, historical setting. Spoil yourself....

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. I have dietary requirements and they were all easily met without me feeling like I was missing out!
