Joes Steak Shop - Phillipsburg

Joe's Steak Shop is a charming little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The indoor seating is quite limited, making it challenging for larger groups, such as a family of seven, to dine in. However, Phillipsburg offers many beautiful waterfront spots where you can enjoy your meal. We didn't mind finding a place to have a quick bite to eat.

Absolutely a hometown favorite! If you haven't tried Joe's famous cheesesteak yet, my dear, be sure to order it with extra sauce. Tuesday nights are a great time with the car shows—we love it!

The sandwich was excellent, generously filled with meat. I tried the regular steak sandwich, which came on a beautifully fresh roll, and the sauce was both unique and delicious. It had a thin, sweet consistency, reminiscent of a barbecue sauce that you might find on roast beef sandwiches. The fries were crispy and tasty too. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for steak lovers!

The staff was outstanding! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and quick. We ordered two steak sandwiches and two kids' meals, and they were really good—not too greasy and the sauce was tasty. The kids loved the chicken nuggets so much that we ended up ordering more. They also enjoyed the paper cars that the food was served in!

Visited again on August 11, 2022, and had a fantastic grilled chicken sandwich. The drink selection is impressive, and they even have A-Treat!
