Silvas Portugese Traditional Charcoal Chicken

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a chicken burger. The quality of the chicken was excellent. The classic burger combined with the addition of chili sauce made it even better. I highly recommend it!

The burger was greasy and soggy, drenched in a heavy amount of mayo and chili sauce, making each bite a messy experience. The service was terrible – the restaurant was quite busy, but the staff were unhelpful and rather rude. An older woman, who I suspect is one of the owners, even asked us to leave our table for incoming customers, despite there being available seating at the back from customers who had just left. I would have gladly given up my table if I had been asked nicely. Overall, the food was decent, but I’d advise caution with some of the positive online reviews, as they can be misleading.

I grabbed takeaway from here on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the original portuguese chicken burger with cheese, chilli and mayo. I really liked the burger. I thought the flavour was great and the chicken was tender. I also got a side of chips which were nice but a tad oily. I would go back again to try their charcoal chicken and also grab another burger. Unfortunately this place is always busy so you will be waiting for your food but it is worth it.  I feel like the service could improve with a more efficient ordering system (e.g. having customers pay first and also letting staff know what you would like on your burger at the time of ordering instead of midway through the process).

Have been visiting this place since I was a kid. People who grew up in the area call it 'Porcho 's '. The grilled chicken with perri perri sauce is an absolute classic, juicy tender chicken, crisp skin, slathered in spicy tangy sauce. The chips are a-grade as well. Chicken burgers also very popular but I 'm a chicken and chips girl.

We ordered a half chicken with chips and the house special, which featured chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce served with rice and chips. We really enjoyed our meal. The chicken was smoky and flavorful, though I wished it had been a bit juicier and not quite so charred. The chips were perfect. My boyfriend's house special was rich and satisfying, with the standout being the sauce. The chili sauce was tangy and bold, and I appreciated that they also offered mayo. Overall, it was a very good meal.
