Sköhns Canteen - Petaling Jaya

We have been coming here since they opened, I think should be around 10 years. We love this place, the food is nice and the staff has always been friendly. The must order food is lasagna, which our kids really really love. The burgers and pasta are nice too. They could have the best scones around too, which is something that we will order Everytime we come here.

Went there for ramadhan dinner as it is also my mom's birthday. Ordered their cheesy nachos w/ beef chilli, grilled chicken chop, grilled lamb chops, cow ilham ku, coconut shake, milkshake, and rootbeer float. Cheesy nachos is 11/10. Absolutely amazing, would totally eat it again. Amazing appetizer to start off the meal. Grill chicken chop was good according to my mom. Her only feedback is that the black pepper sauce is a bit too salty for her taste bud. I had the grill lamb chop, but I'm fine with the black pepper sauce. My issue is with the lamb, it is a bit undercook for my liking, very chewy. Told it to the staff, was immediately fixed and even added extra fries. Very kind. Cow ilham ku is also good according to my bf. However the drinks aren't as great. It's not a complete turn off though as the food is good. Overall just need some minor adjustment here and there for the drinks. The waiting time is also reasonable. All the food came out right before the time to break fast, so it is nice to have the food while it's hot.

Only one photo as was busy at a gathering organised at the restaurant. Good variety of a Western food fare cooked with a local touch. Had the mushroom soup which was flavorful but tad on the salty side. Next was lamb chop which was my highlight dish and was cooked to my liking medium well and gravy was a good complement along with the giant chips. Drink was a longan type drink. Space a bit tight but there is also space at the back for tables. It's easy to miss the place as it's not at street level view but I think there should be wheelchair access somewhere though I don't know for sure. Price I would say is reasonable.

Hands down, hands up, hands side to side, the place with one of the best beef burger I've ever tasted yiazzzz I've always ordered the double cheeseburger with fries because the taste of the beef is stuck to my soul I tell you! My parents will order the phillicheesteak and lemon sauce grilled fish which, to them is very very very delicious I was tempted to order once but the beef burger kept calling my name, our relationship is THAT strong you see 2023 update Finally added a picture of the same double cheese burger(it’s not pleasant looking I know, my cam skills are indeed questionable) Tastes as good as it was back when I took my first bite! Came back for better photo!!!

Requested to swap the fries for my grilled chicken chop for more salad and the restaurant was willing to accommodate. Price is reasonable as portion is enough for 1 person. Food is tasty
