Hearth - Peoria Heights

The food is outstanding. The drinks are marginal. We were there for lunch with a group of 10 in Peoria from out of state for a wedding. The waitress explained they were not expecting a 10 person table even though we called prior to arriving. It seemed as though this was a preface to letting us know the service was going to be sub-par. We were not expecting anything over the top but did expect the waitress to be kind. She was beyond rude to my uncle when he asked for crackers with his salad, asked how much longer for the food as we waited forever to order and then a very very long time to get our food. She brought his salad out and made a very snide comment to him. Sad that I am from Illinois and the family members I was with actually thought maybe this is how mid-western people are. I told them not true. It was embarrassing and if I were the owner, I would want to know. I will never go back there nor recommend it as a result. Too bad since the food was great!

We came for lunch. We had shrimp and grits, butterfly shrimp and cous cous, and the catfish po’ boy. Also, a cup of roasted tomato soup. The entrees were fabulous. The service was fabulous. The venue was warm and inviting. If I lived here, I’d be a regular. If lunch was this good, dinner must be spectacular. Thanks to all for an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful spot for a delicious dinner in Peoria Heights! Perfect choice for when you want to feel pampered!

Got a classic wedge salad. Maple duck breast, potatoes au gratin and Brussel sprouts. All was great. Brussel sprouts were the best.

Wonderful food and excellent service. A wonderful way to spend our anniversary. We’ll be coming back.
