Let me tell you right here and now The food was plentiful, flavorsome, and not overly expensive for what we got. 3 people with a couple beers 2 mains, 4 starters $150 not over priced for good food. I had a combination of things cause i could not decide, let me start with the wings and drumsticks, Hmmm Mmmm momma gunna be happy with them wings, spicy, hot but not too much that it took the taste from your taste buds, blue cheese that normally is very hard for me to like, it was not stinky blue, but yummy blue well worth a try, next was the...read more
Food and service was horrible here, the entrees took ages to come out and when they did they were greasy and dry!!! The mains were cold when they came out and lacked flavour.. Its also very overpriced!!!!!!
We went for dinner tonight (a Tuesday) without a booking and the place was packed. The waitress Amy managed to get us a table with only a 15 minute wait. Once we were seated we ordered the oysters and the mud crab special. The service was fast and friendly with just the right amount of attention and the seafood was fresh and delicious. Great place for crab without having to worry about the hour drive to the city.
Dined in Friday night 3/11/17 very welcoming, definitely true to the name beach like shack. Very clean and staff were friendly. The food was decent, the cheeseburger spring rolls was uniquely different, the alcohol menu I thought was very limited in options or more so what I enjoyed to drink. The seafood combo could have been better in form of sauce being thick and not a lot of seafood in the boil and muscles were small but overall the food was indeed delicious. The prices was a bit dear and would say I pay similar if I were to dine in the city. Positive experience on my part.
Ate here for the third time. The last time I came I ordered the salmon, which was raw on the inside. I 'm all for medium salmon but this was cold inside it was so raw. I decided to give the place another go, unfortunately it wasn 't very nice. We got the salt and pepper squid and the mac n cheese bombs for entree. The squid batter looked under cooked, it was pale white and all you could taste was flour , which left a thick coating in your mouth (not pleasant). The mac and cheese bombs were very plain. There was no cheese. It was basically plain macaroni pasta minus the cheese crumbed and fried. It was meant to be 'Dorito crust ' but that wasn 't apparent either as they were tasteless. Both...read more
