They also sell a lot of vegetarian vegan dry food, packed food and traditional kuih. Read the question about the ingredients first as some of them contain milk in it. Price is reasonable. Clean restaurant. Nice aunt on the counter.
Went for lunch and I ordered both from the menu (important: they do not serve the full a la carte menu during lunch and from the buffet. The buffet was very good. Had a huge plate of noodles, vegetables, mock meat and glutinous rice balls, dumplings etc. Loved all of it. I also ordered the laksa, which was disgusting to me. Probably just not my cup of tea, so I would still recommend them :
We went here on our first night in Penang. We had the green curry with fish which was good, and the laaksa, which was sour and I didn 't really like it, but I guess it 's a preference thing. The satay was okay, but I wouldn 't come back because there are so many other, in my opinion, better places in Penang to eat. Also not sure what on the menu was vegan and what wasn 't.
We only ate at the buffet while here but did go about 4 times. The food was great and it has fake meat made out of soy and other veggies. It was hard to tell at first that it wasn't real meat. It all tasted amazing, while not all of it was hot as it was sitting out until all gone
I found good reviews of this restaurant and their laksa on vegan food blog. We came there just to get vegan laksa. It was a jackpot! So fcukin delicious! Hearty soup with springy noodles full of umami and sour taste with fresh mint. I was there around 10 days ago and Im still thinking of it every day! I wish I could taste it again… The service was not so warm-welcome, almost rude and we felt a bit ignored. But who cares! They make laksa from vegan heaven! ;
