Order and pay at the bar. There were very few people around 3 tables all night (Saturday). We certainly weren't expecting much but then the food came...wow...it blew us away, it was so good. The grilled salmon was perfection and my friends had the TBone and enjoyed it too. Very impressed given the ambience is from the 1980s.
Yep tje girly thing is a slap in the face not what i expected here. So behind the times it was embarressing. Used to be a great pub obviously desperate now and have gotten stuck in a timewarp. Staff are great food was ok. Thats it
Great food…..although I had the prawn pasta the prawns were on the small side probably frozen. My colleagues had the barramundi a Reuben which were both great. Dessert coffee were not so good with sticky date pudding cold in the inside long black coffee that looked like International Roast instant coffee…..did I mention they had no milk to make a cappuccino? I’ll be back for the food, however there are lots of cafes in the area which do much better coffee etc.
First time experience was not so good. We were the first in the bistro for the day but it still took just shy of 40 minutes for our food to be ready.....the Barramundi was over cooked to the point that you couldn't see which side was the skin. Best part of the meals were the chips. We were sitting at our table for around 2.5 hours and never saw any wait staff at all.....hence we were sitting with our dirty plates, glasses and empty bottles for this whole time. If it weren't for being our friends local pub, I would never return.
Enjoyed our second visit to this venue more than our first. Service was quicker and we really enjoyed our lunch. Would definitely visit again.
