Przekaż informację zwrotnąI wrote a review of this place a while ago and was recently there again. Customer service was really above and beyond, which is why I'm writing another positive review. One of my friends was recently here visiting. She's a vegetarian with celiac disease and...we had plans to spend a day wandering around the old town. I asked friends for recommendations for places that would actually have options for my friend, in the old town and elsewhere, and the answer was consistently Esskultur. I contacted the restaurant over Facebook and they responded quickly yes, they would be able to serve us. The restaurant changes its menu monthly, and on the day my friend was there, there were only a few options for her. But the owners were there and asked if we would be willing to give them free rein in the kitchen. The chef came up with a delicious, filling bowl that kept us going for the rest of the (cold) day of sightseeing. I really appreciate the effort that the restaurant made and the food was also tasty, as per usual. I will definitely continue to come back.
At first, I was kind of skeptical about a hipster looking restaurant with Middle Eastern food, bowls, etc., but one of my co workers was and is a fan and convinced me to go with him. I 'm glad that I did. The kitchen always makes an effort...to switch up their offerings and the food coming out of the kitchen is always delicious. My personal favorite is the Grünzeug green stuff bowl with falafel a salad with seasonal, filling toppings. The falafel I 've eaten there is also the best in town. The Middle Eastern restaurants in town run by people from the Middle East typically fry falafel at the beginning of the day and then microwave them as needed. Here, they 're made fresh. The kitchen here also makes an effort to introduce dishes not very common in Germany and also not offered by other Middle Eastern restaurants in town, like shakshuka, and make them accessible for the local audience. The restaurant also offers things like homemade sodas and cake. The interior is minimalistic and modern not a place to sit and chat for hours, but perfectly fine for lunch. Lunch with a drink usually runs about €8 12 with a drink more than a cafeteria or the butcher 's, but portions are large and filling and it 's clear that there is a lot of thought put into the food. I would also recommend the second Esskultur restaurant in town, the Umami Bar in Grabengasse there, the focus is more on food from eastern Asia.
