During this visit, we ordered three items - a crepe, chicken club, and espresso - but they were all out of stock. It took three trips to our table to inform us of this. The food was mediocre and tasted like it was made in a microwave. Additionally, the prices were high for the quality of the food. I would recommend spending a little extra for a fresh meal at other restaurants on BGC High Street instead of opting for this expensive and unsatisfying comfort food. I rarely give out 1-star ratings, but I cannot understand how anyone could rate this restaurant with 4 stars.
We had a reservation near Pancake House so we decided to have lunch there. We had to wait for about 15 minutes because there were several groups ahead of us. The restaurant was crowded with customers, but we waited patiently. Since it was lunchtime, the staff were busy taking and delivering orders, so we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our food. We ordered tacos, pasta dishes, and beef with a side of veggies. Overall, Pancake House did not disappoint. We enjoyed our meal, even though it was a bit crowded with limited space between tables and chairs. The prices were reasonable and I would consider trying another Pancake House branch in the future, just not this particular location.
The foods were really nice. No question on that (although their mushroom soup seems different compared to what i always have since im a regular customer but not on this branch. Apart from my mushroom soup, all foods were good. 3 star though because the...customer service is very poor.
This is a classic... but after trying quite a few of their pancakes we decided to try soufflé type pancakes . It took a while but it was good. Not the best we had try but still good enough to recommend
For breakfast, we invariably visit the Pancake House in BF Homes. Their beef tapa is staple for my wife, while the Spanish omelette is my preferred breakfast fare. We found ourselves in the Pancake House in BGC the one time we were in the area...to bring a daughter to her office. We had been to this branch a couple of times in the past, when I would order their homestyle bangus which has been removed from their menu; one wonders why). At this breakfast, my wife’s tapa had more tough portions “litid” in the vernacular) while my Spanish omelette was just a lot of egg and a sprinkling of what seemed to be tiny tomatoes or whatever they were. It was more like scrambled eggs than omelette! What made this more perplexing is the fact that I get the true Pancake House Spanish omelette in the BF Homes branch. Is this a case of the cook doing it better in one location than the other? Oh, and the wait staff can do with a little more cheerfulness.
