So we came on a midday, during the week and there wasn't a long wait. But apparently there's a very long wait here during the weekends. In any case, we waited about five minutes and got seated right away. They handed us the little clipboard to make our choices and then the menu. They really only gave us two menus to share amongst five people. We placed our orders on the little clipboard and waited. It took probably 5-10 minutes to get all our ramen. And then we had to ask for our drinks because they happen to forget. In addition, we had to ask for the karaage and rice that we ordered. They also forgot about that. We did place the order on our sheet but they didn't remember that we ordered it. No big deal. In any case, the ramen was excellent. The thick noodles had a great chew to it. It was plentiful. The broth was rich. The meat was huge. But my only gripe was that I wished they would cut it into smaller pieces so it's easier to eat. If you choose thin noodles, it looks like hakata style. Overall, the noodle was still great. Though you get more options on how the noodle is cooked if you choose the thin noodle. In addition, you can get it non-spicy to super spicy. There's also some condiments on the table that you can add more spice to or more garlic to your ramen. Which was great because level one was not spicy. On one more thing, remember to grab the soup from the bottom, that's where the spice really went. It all sunk to the bottom! The service was okay. They were all over the place. It was hard to get their attention at times. The place is very lively with all the decorations everywhere but that's beside the point because we were there for the ramen. The price points were fair but you could say that this is more on the pricier side. Overall, it's a great place. The ramen is really really delicious and I would definitely come back again.
Ramen Nagi is located in Mall of Asia on the ground floor serving up some amazing Japanese ramen noodles! I came here looking for one thing and that is obvisouly a nice hot fresh bowl of ramen and that is exactly what I got! Ordering is quite simple as to where you fill out a sheet and order how you would like your customized bowl of ramen to be. I ended up getting the butao bowl which in my eyes was a pork broth tonkotsu ramen. I went rich with the taste, extra heavy with the special sauce, normal garlic, pork belly, green onion for the vegetables, and chose no spice. As for the noodles I went ahead for a normal thin noodle, a soft boiled egg and also extra noodles along with a Asahi super dry bottle beer. The food came out in no time and was looking pretty tasty! Quick time first bite but wait I need to take these pictures first. WOW it was amazing! The richness of the broth was on point with a creamy rich pork bone flavor. The pork belly was as tender as could be and just simply melted in my mouth. The star of the show was the thin noodles as to where they had the perfect snap back when biting into them and very easy to chew. In a matter of fact I was blessed to have ordered extra noodles because I smashed the first batch in no time. The soft boiled egg was cooked to perfection with a nice soy marinade and when eating it the egg yolk bursting really got me excited. The Asahi bottled beer was great to have on hand to wash down all the greatness I just experienced in a bowl of noodle soup. I really enjoyed the cold frosty mug they gave me as well. What a great ramen restaurant to go to while your in the Mall of Asia. I enjoyed some of the best ramen and fast friendly service here. The prices are not bad and wont break the bank for a bowl here. Customer service was served with a smile and the staff seemed proud and happy to work here. please give this place a try when in the area!
I don't see how anyone could give this place less than 5. Each person gets a clip board and you fill in a form with all the variations you want. Including broth richness, noodle texture, shoulder or belly pork, etc. Then you can order extras as well (noodles, egg, seaweed, and so on). The chicken karagi side dish was also great. Had both the regular and spicy. There is also a curry version we didn't try. And they're very fast. So if you're hungry you don't have to wait long. Try it!!
Lining up in the queue wasn 't so bad. We probably waited for about 10-15 minutes, giving us time to chitchat outside first. It 's so much easier to wait when you have people to talk with. Seats for waiting outside were available. Chicken Karaage Each piece was cooked very well! Coating was crunchy, white meat was very hot and tender, and the dip kept it interesting. Eating fried chicken can only go so far without sauces and dips. Green King I was actually about to try the limited king Mexican King ramen and good thing the server gave me a heads-up on how spicy it was. I easily shifted to the Green King right away! As always, every spoonful was very tasty. Quantity, thinness, and flavor of the shoulder meat were extremely satisfying! Kaedama (noodles) were prepared perfectly, extra hard, and I could only wish I ordered extra. But because we already had gyoza and karaage, we were all set. Gyoza Anything similar to a dumpling, I 'll have. Give it to me steamed, fried, or even sizzling, it 's mine! These were good even without sauce. Service Everyone was lively; hearing them shout has already grown on me. Ordering ramen on a sheet of paper with a colored pencil is always fun, and the waiting time was reasonable. Paying the bill was just as easy.
I loved this Fukuokan ramen place in the SM Mall of Asia. After having read about the black ramen here, I was cravin it so I came here. As luck would have it, they were still making the broth at 11am so I hadda try my second choice the Truffles ramen. A bit hesitant and found a bowl of ramen covered in lettuce and as I dug around....I expected truffle shavings only to find that truffles were incorporated into a sauce over the soup. So I tasted the sauce and wow, cracked black pepper and truffles flavor was prominent. Love. There too was pork belly, the entire bowl was umami to the nth, so good and satisfying, the perfect noodles were slurped up in less than 2 min. The bowl tipped until the entire thing was gone. Ahhhhhh foodgasm. Left very full for about 4 hours; it was that fulfilling and delicious. Visits: 1 Tip: The black ramen is next on my list.
