Sushi Roku Pasadena

Restaurant couldn’t find our reservation when we got there. The waiter only came by the table 3 times in 1 hour and didn’t take our order any of the times. The waiter also ordered the wrong food and told us it was our fault that the wrong food came out. There are a lot of sushi spots in Pasadena, and I will not be coming back to Sushi Roku

We got there close to closing and the manager was very attentive. Food was delish and service was great

Gnats! Food and service are always great but they cannot seem to get the flying bugs issue under control due to the inside water features. It’s been months since our last visit and the gnats are still everywhere. It’s unfortunate because the food and service are amazing but the gnat/bug problem will keep us from coming back. 

The restaurant was out of eggplant so they could not make one of their most popular appetizer . Literally the only reason I chose that place. I canceled reservations at another restaurant. I don’t know how you run out of eggplant. Clearly someone dropped the ball and did not order the egg plant. Again literally the only reason I went there.

Food was good overall but our waiter kept coming by to check in on us too often. We felt rushed for no apparent reason as we did not dine during peak hours (3pm). My guest and I just wanted to enjoy a relaxing day and catch up and we clearly could not do that do excessive interruptions. Also, when the waiter took our order, she took my guest order and didn’t even bother to ask me what I wanted to eat. I had to stop her from leaving to place my order. This is at least my second time here and I have never had this happen to me at this restaurant. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff?
