Carmela Ice Cream - Pasadena

I brought my family for some of the best I’ve cream I’ve ever had and Carmela Ice Cream did not disappoint! My husband got a coffee float with the Salted Carmel, kids got cones of various flavors, and I had a scoop of Dark Chocolate! The best thing is that they offer free samples so you can be sure you like it. This is extremely helpful with kids. Thanks for a treat everyone enjoyed thoroughly.

Fun Facts: - Carmela Ice Cream was established in 2007 by people who had no prior experience in ice cream making or owning a business. - Their ice cream and sorbet are crafted by hand using seasonal produce sourced from local farmers' markets. - They began their journey in downtown LA and opened their Pasadena location in 2011. If you're in the mood for a treat, I highly recommend trying this artisan ice cream pioneer soon!

The absolute yummiest ice cream around. Their rocky road was absolutely phenomenal. So much so that I had it two nights in a row! The staff is also so sweet and super personable! Love this spot wish we lived closer so I didn't have to take a vacation to visit.

We used Carmela for our wedding and we are so happy we did! We had great communication with them during our time before the wedding and even the day of. They offered so many flavors you can choose from and have the option of using the truck or cart. We went with the cart. It looked so good at the wedding, I know the pictures are going to turn out great because their cart is the perfect aesthetic! Not only did it look good but the ice cream tasted AMAZING. The staff was also great to work with on the day of and very friendly. We are very happy we decided to include Carmela in our wedding and would definitely use them for future events!

Very expensive 7.95 small scoop small waffle cone ! Smaller than most child’s sized portions. Loved the flavor, but it would have rated bad without the waffle cone. I’ll never go back. It was like it had been thawed and refrozen too many times. And over priced. And they do not take cash. IF and I doubt that, if it was supposed to be that way they do not warn you or explain. Ick!
