Very nice place!! Owners are great! Great atmosphere and food!! Great food and moderately priced!

Been in twice but didn't get to try the food on either visit (why we stopped in, primarily), seems they are struggling with the kitchen part of things. A lot of employee turnover, never a good sign. The partial renovation is nice, but the low ceilings still make this bar feel claustrophobic. On both visits -different days and time of day- we got the sense that this new ownership is missing something. Not sure what exactly, but the old bar had a better vibe. When we asked about things like live music there was a sense that excuses are being made, but ultimately the former scene of great live bands isn't returning. On a positive note, the beer was cold, the staff was friendly, the place was reasonably clean. The awesome food bus that used to be in the parking lot is just down the road behind a coffee shack, so after a quick beer we ended up leaving and getting great eats there, happily! The fishhook area seems to be exploding with new apartments and small businesses, so maybe there's going to be room for another bar eventually? The right type of place could do really well here.

My dad and I decided to stop here while driving by since it was the only restaurant for quite a while. The exterior was somewhat unusual for a tourist spot, but the interior was quite appealing. They had some bar games, and the place had a nice vibe. The service was good, and our waitress was very helpful. The food was typical bar fare; the ham and cheese grilled sandwich was just okay, and the onion rings weren't that great. Overall, it was decent for bar food.

The restaurant offers delicious food and drinks, along with music on select days. It has been recently remodeled and is family-friendly.

The bartender was very friendly and explained that all those boxes in the back contain kitchen equipment. They’re planning on opening the kitchen in the next couple of months and are looking to bring back the Prime Rib night that was popular a decade ago. They also mentioned burgers, fries, and possibly taco or steak nights in the future. A noteworthy find was a bottle of Blanton’s on the shelf, and they have a great selection of canned and bottled beers too, along with wine options available. I highly recommend visiting this place. I’m really looking forward to coming back once the kitchen is up and running!
